I'm Stacy Reed, welcome to my corner of the blogosphere! In the folders below, you'll find galleries of my artwork. I dabble in a bit of everything. I also post things that amuse and interest me, such as videos about art, articles about science and Internet memes... Oh yeah, and once a month I post a picture of my messy desk.

Favtape is back up and running smoothly.

Mixtape from http://favtape.com/sya/1-30-09

Wise man once said that a reed that won't bend in the wind... gets all fucked up and shit. It has become my personal motto.

My totally crazy life is totally crazy. I could write a book one day and astound you all. I just may.

Last night I met a friend for drinks. The devil was sitting at the next table over and winked at me. When he got up to leave, he leaned in to tell me I was beautiful. Seriously. To you, it might sound like I'm rambling. I couldn't make this shit up, people.

Inauguration Speech Part II

Inauguration Speech Part III

Or, watch the whole thing in it's entirety with a couple short ads over at MSNBC.

Favtape is acting up this week. Does anyone know the scoop? Their search is broken as well as the import from Pandora feature. The playlists and widgets are fubar'd as well... Sooooo, this week's 5 comes from Deezer, which is actually more well-rounded than Favtape. I'm making the switch, yet again!

Will I ever master this song on Guitar Hero's hardest level?! I'd be happy with 3 stars at this point. I may be getting blisters and a stiff back. Don't laugh. It's not easy!

Gotta respect those guitarists! I mean, how do those guys have the stamina to play entire concerts, sometimes even piss drunk or stoned? All I'm doing is tapping some fraking buttons on a toy!
View Article  Librarian Chick gets a facelift

Librarian Chick was recently updated to PBwiki 2.0 complete with a new design and cool tools. I've been getting a lot of submissions flowing in and haven't had the time to add them. Seriously, I need to take one evening and do nothing but add, add, add! Who knew there were so many fantastic and FREE educational resources available out there? Go learn something!

I also updated FOSSwiki to the new version as well. I'm still dealing with some left over text reformatting issues for both sites, but all in all, I'm pleased with the new features PBwiki has introduced. I know I've complained about them in the past, but they seem to have listened to their users and with this new version, they implemented enhanced customization tools and security controls, and also made it easier to collaborate with others. Maybe I'll stay a while longer. :)

View Article  Clever Texting
CleverTexting is a new texting technology that predicts letters as you type, but unlike it's predecessors, it is based on the statistical nature of a language therefore, it does not require a dictionary. That means that the download is compact, and it implemented, it takes up very little space. It's also easy to install on any phone that supports java. CleverTexting provides a smoother, seamless typing experience using dynamic key assignment so users can experience faster typing, no interventions, no multitaps, and no mode changes. I am told they are currently developing a touch-screen version, due to be released soon. The software is absolutely free to use and distribute, so check it out...

...and another cool little tidbit, the awesome artwork included in the app is mine, with permission.

By the way, you may want to go check out http://www.butterscotch.com/ces for daily coverage of the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas!
