Richard Wright, founding member and keyboardist for the legendary Pink Floyd, died earlier today after losing a battle with cancer.

"No one can replace Richard Wright. He was my musical partner and my friend." Gilmour writes, "He was gentle, unassuming and private but his soulful voice and playing were vital, magical components of our most recognised (sic) Pink Floyd sound... Like Rick, I don't find it easy to express my feelings in words, but I loved him and will miss him enormously."

Don't even get me started about the Don's attempts to thwart interest away from the recall petition with his now infamous un-drag strip, and his ridiculously ironic campaign to end government corruption (want a good chuckle? Drive by his headquarters on the corner of Saginaw and 5th)... but word on the street is that Flint's deadbeat mayor has actually hired people to gather petition signatures and then throw them away!
