Two new letters have arrived in regards to Andrew Raymond Tower and I figured I'd post them and ask for your advice. See, I'm in a quandary about what to do in regards to these blog posts et al... more »

Teehee, a City of Flint employee sent this our way.

And good riddance! The Flint Journal announced that Mayor, Don Williamson has officially resigned from office, citing medical issues such as multiple sinus infections and kidney stones. If you've been following my blog, you know how I feel about Don the Con, and that we were part of the recall efforts, gathering petition signatures, donating time and money to ensure the bull-headed megalomaniac was ousted from office. This breaking news gives the trodden-down citizens of the once great city of Flint reason to celebrate! Cheers, Flint! Thursday, October 16

Earlier this afternoon, the Committee for a Better Flint (CBF) held a news conference at their campaign headquarters to announce intentions to submit to the Genesee County Clerk the many hundreds of petitions and thousands of signatures seeking the recall and removal from office of Flint's mayor, Donald J. Williamson. The announcement was the culmination of months of hard work and the involvement of many dedicated people in the city of Flint.
"Despite the obstacles and obvious constraints recently orchestrated by Don Williamson and his administration, we remain confident the voters of Flint will be afforded their legal right to vote on the removal from office of Mayor Williamson." - CBF News Release More on the recall here and here via The Flint Journal, including this little laughable gem... ""I feel extremely positive that they won't recall me because of all of the work I have done for the great citizens of the city of Flint," said Williamson, who takes part of the credit for downtown revitalization." Don't even get me started about the Don's attempts to thwart interest away from the recall petition with his now infamous un-drag strip, and his ridiculously ironic campaign to end government corruption (want a good chuckle? Drive by his headquarters on the corner of Saginaw and 5th)... but word on the street is that Flint's deadbeat mayor has actually hired people to gather petition signatures and then throw them away!

The sign reads: Welcome to Circle Drive Neighborhood Association Working together for a Better Neighborhood Mayor Don Williamson This sign was posted in a quaint grassy field in a quiet little neighborhood on Flint's south side. Go ahead and do a search for the triangle patch of grass between Circle, Dell and Omega on this here Murder Map to get an idea of where it's at in proximity to all the craziness going on. That is one of two signs in the local vicinity, which seems to raise a good question. Where are the rest of the Don's happy little neighborhood signs? More mad ranting --> more » Monday, August 18

Flint's 2008 Murder Map via Flint Expats Williamson, in his abundance of insight and knowledge, tried to assure the citizens of Flint that the wise thing to do for our budget was shut down the city jail (the same jail he claimed would be "open forever"). How can we layoff yet more policemen in light of the recent burst in crime? But hey, at least we have newly paved roads, right? Thanks Don the Con. *scratches head* Thursday, August 14

(Click Image to go to Studio Spooky. You won't regret it.) This evening, Michael and I went to the meeting initiating the recall of Mayor Don Williamson a.k.a. The Con. I do believe there is hope yet for the city of Flint. The people here do care and want things to turn in another direction. Please stop this asshole before he attempts to run an embarrassing campaign for governor in 2010 and humiliates us even more than Michael Moore did in the 80's. We couldn't ask for a worse mayor, and yet somehow, he was re-elected, winning by a mere 500-something votes in 2007... Oh yeah, there's -----> more » Monday, August 11

You know, in a church, there's two, or three, or four factions that want to run the church. In the city of Flint, you got about 2,500 factions that want to run the church, but they're not gonna run the city as long as I'm here." - The Don Wow. Just wow. I mean, even his analogies suck. Surprise! I missed posting last week's 5 for Fri. since we were in Toronto for Tucows' summer party. So to make up for it, you get a few bonus tracks this week and on a humpday even... why? Because I needed something to post today, that's why! Also, I was inspired by this elegantly written excerpt that I wanted to share from Roger Housden's Soul and Sensuality: Returning the Erotic to Everyday Life... Clicky ——> more » Thursday, June 26

I want to say a word or two about the recent controversy surrounding two of the most commented articles here at SDID:
Andrew Tower is a lying lizard Andrew Tower is a lying lizard Update! I hate to even draw more attention to these posts because they involve events that took place years ago and therefore, I no longer find them relevant, at least not to my own life and I can assume that would apply to the majority of my current visitors as well. Secondly, they are about someone I've never met and hope to keep it that way. Lastly, the language in the articles is a bit harsh, and although I was not the one who wrote them, I can understand why the author (my husband) was so irate because I feel the same sense of outrage whenever I hear about assholes like this guy taking advantage of naive women. Over the years, these two articles have received numerous comments from all sides — several women he has lied to and betrayed, his wife, someone who's apparently spying on him, his friends, and even his son, all of whom are strangers to me. The only reason I am writing today is to clear up some misunderstandings... more » Wednesday, June 4

![]() I have an interesting story about this song. The first time I ever heard (and subsequently fell immediately and madly in love with) The Clash I was 16 years old. My oldest step brother was serving in the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and one day my step mom had a wild hair to pile the family into the car and drive south across multiple states to surprise him with a visit. It was some time ago, but if I recall correctly, he wasn’t so happy to have us show up unexpectedly, but my stepsister and I sure were happy to walk into the barracks and receive such a warm welcome. We were the same age, young and silly, unabashedly strutting our stuff up and down the halls, fluttering our lashes at all the cute young soldiers. Well, as it turned out, stepbro had a bunch of important stuff to do and couldn’t find much time to hang out with the fam. We ended up spending most our time at the motel. Luckily the hot weather kept my parents indoors because when my stepsister and I donned our suits and went for a swim in the outdoor pool, we drew a crowd of young soldiers who were there on leave. I don’t remember all of the details, but the interesting part of the story goes a little something like this... more » Wednesday, May 28

Venturing Outdoors - Episode 1. In Which We Try Not to Step in the Pile of Poo at Quiznos
My old Saturn finally kicked the bucket back in February. Unfortunately, we still had to pay the insurance for both my car and Michael's Mustang and we have been so busy lately, we kept putting off mailing the payment (who me? procrastinate?) so, this is the story of how my my mother-in-law gives me a ride to the insurance company and the crazy events that followed...
